REFLEXOLOGY HELPS REDUCE STRESS.

Stress can be positive, keeping us healthy and full of life and giving us an extra burst of energy when needed. However, it is only intended to be a short term effect and when the response becomes prolonged, this becomes negative stress, which is very unhealthy.

 

Long term stress can:

  • Increase heart rate and blood pressure

  • Affect digestion leading to problems like irritable bowel syndrome

  • Cause sleeping difficulties

  • Emotional distress

  • Cause muscle tension

  • Suppress the immune system

  • Affect reproductive function

 

Whatever we can do to reduce stress in our lives is good for both our emotional and physical wellbeing.

 

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing treatment and can really help to reduce stress, so is a wonderful therapy to help rebalance and revitalise the body and mind.
